MARKET. Simone will be selling work, along with others from
Happiness At Work Studios, at the LANTERN MARKET in Canary Wharf from
11am to 6.30pm, on the 11th and 18th of December. Come along and buy
some art for Christmas.
MAGAZINE. We've produced a new, very small comic which will
appear as a cut-out-and-make page in issue no.7 of PRODUCT
magazine.
NOVEMBER 2003
MORE. The reprinted GUARDIANS
OF THE KINGDOM, is available now in the Comics
Store, and at GOSH!, MAGMA,
and the ICA bookstore.
GALLERY. We've put some new work in the GALLERY,
including the artwork for a really tiny comic which Tom has done for
swiss publisher BULB.
OCTOBER 2003
BOTH. To celebrate the launch of our new book BOTH
we will be talking at the ICA
from 7pm on the 28th of October, along with Steven Appleby and Paul
Gravett. BOTH
will be on sale, as will Steven's new book JIM.
There will also be work by all of us on show, and drinks in the bar.
BOOKS. We will both be showing work in an exhibition at MAGMA
bookshop (117-119 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5B), which will run
from November 3rd until December 6th. This is to celebrate the launch
of the book HAND

NEWS. THE WRITER AT WORK (see August) will now run until
Saturday 27th
FESTIVAL. Simone represented Cabanon Press at the BERLINER
COMIC FESTIVAL. British comic producers
were the guests of honour this year and also included METAPHROG
and STURGEON WHITE MOSS.
AUGUST 2003
WEBCOMIC. The web version of the giant collaborative comic produced
for the COMICA exhibition is online now at e-merl.com/pocom.htm,
it's a rather large file (2.3MB) but it's worth waiting for.
NEWS. Tom has produced new comic strips which appear weekly
in the Guardian Saturday Review for six weeks starting on the 16th of
August. The stories are entitled THE WRITER AT WORK and depict
the lives of great writers. Click on the names to see them: Ben

TRAVEL. Simone will be representing Cabanon Press at the BERLINER
COMIC FESTIVAL on
the 29th -31st of August on stand 7.
FLUFFY. There has been a delay with the publication of FLUFFY
and it is now due for
release in September - apologies from Simone.
JULY 2003
FLUFFY. Simone has been working on her graphic novel. Chapter
one is complete and will be published in August. In July she will be
travelling to Sicily to gather research for chapter two.
FIN. The COMICA Festival is over now, but an online version
of the installation will be up very soon.
BUY. PROJECT:TELSTAR
is in shops now.

BOOKS. A hardback book collecting the entire contents of FIRST
and SECOND will be published by
Bloomsbury. It is entitled BOTH
and will be published in November. Simone is working on the first
chapter of her graphic novel FLUFFY AND DADDY.
ART. We are both producing new work for a multi-artist comic
installation as part of the ICA's COMICA event, which opens on 27th
June.
LIST. We are making a Cabanon Press mailing list, for information

HAPPINESS. Simone has produced a new screenprint which is in

is finishing in Timeout magazine on 16th April.

NIGHT OUT. Happiness
at Work studios are having a launch party and exhibition. All are
welcome to come along and find out about Happiness At Work. on the 28th
of March from 7 til 10.30 at The Turk's Head, 1 Green Bank, Wapping,
London, E1W 2PA.

ROBOTS.We've each done a story for TELSTAR,
a new collection of comics about robots and space. It will be out in
June and is published by Adhouse books.
JANUARY 2003
MOVE. We've moved, for our new addresses click on the 'Contact
us' shed. Apologies if you wrote to our old address and didn't get a
reply.
WEBSITE. We have re-arranged the website, with new pictures
from both of us, and this year we'll be updating the news and gallery
more often.
SWM. We've both contibuted to the comic STURGEON
WHITE MOSS number 2, which will be available soon.
SIMONE. Simone has set up new studios in East London for 20
freelance creatives. The studio is called HAPPINESS AT WORK,
it's a beautiful space and there are three desk spaces available at
the moment. Contact Simone for further details on s.lia@virgin.net,
and check news for details of Happiness Exhibition set to take place
in March.
TOM. Tom's comic strip MOVE TO THE CITY continues to
run weekly in TIMEOUT London, and you can see more of his work online
at www.bigifpublications.com.
He's also contributed a new 6 page strip to SENTENCE which features
strips by Matt Abbiss, Patrice
Aggs, Nick Abadzis, Malcy Duff, Gary
Northfield, Dave Shelton and Mark
Stafford. SENTENCE will be published by Rising
Trout Press in February.
